Project overview

The Funnel Monetisation Project focuses on enhancing CARS24’s seller journey by monetising inspection service and introducing value-added services. The goal is to improve user experience while creating opportunities for sustainable revenue growth.

Problem statement

CARS24 conducts over 1 lakh car inspections monthly, incurring an operational cost of ₹4 crore. Despite this scale, the seller journey lacks efficient monetization strategies.

Solution

The project will employ A/B/C Testing to determine the most effective monetisation strategy:

  1. Inspection Service Fee: Directly offsets operational costs (₹4 crore) by charging users for the core service they are availing.


  2. Two-Tier Paid Packages: Standard and Premium

    Provides clear differentiation for users, maximising revenue from those willing to pay for added value while maintaining accessibility for others.


  3. Three-Tier Packages: FREE, Silver and Gold

    Allows Cars24 to cater to a diverse audience, balancing free user acquisition with upsell opportunities for value-added tiers.
